Christina returned to Canada in 2008 after living in Mexico and the United States for eight years. During her travels abroad, she initiated an educational bursary project for impoverished youth in Mexico, taught English, tutored Spanish, and trained expatriate families in English as a Second Language (ESL), phonetics and business etiquette.

She earned a Master of Science degree in Technical and Professional Communication (MSTPC) from Lawrence Technological University in 2008, and published a bilingual book for expatriate families shortly thereafter. Christina also holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), and worked as an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst for the CGI Group in Toronto.

Christina Thorpe is now a cross-cultural and Web design consultant in Toronto, Canada. She likes to cook, golf and practice yoga in her spare time.
